Patty Weeks Home

I grew up in Jacksonville, Florida before
moving with my family to St. Augustine in
1970. I had always had a love of art and I
loved to draw. I experimented in watercolors,
pen and ink, and acrylics. When I began oil
painting classes at FCCJ several years ago I
had found my medium. I then went on to study
Fine Art in Drawing and Painting at UNF and
have continued my oil painting.

I began to discover the love I have for nature
and the Old Florida I remember as a child. I
love birds and boats and trees and swamps
and old tourist attractions and old Florida
motels from times gone by.

I believe that as your life goes, so goes your
art. Everything about us shows up in our art.
As we change and grow so does our art. It is a
long journey. Pierre Auguste Renoir said on
the day before he died, "I am still making
progress."
